Now, let’s go!
Many students these days choose to work abroad after graduating. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?
Recently, after finishing university, many students decide to work overseas. In this essay, I will discuss both the positive and negative aspects of this new development.
One of the largest advantages working abroad will bring to student is higher salary. For example, students who live in developing countries, if finding a job with higher salary than in their country, will work overseas. This would therefore mean that having a high salary job, many students can cover all their living costs and send a part of the salary to their family. Another benefit of working abroad is that students can experience the new culture of the country where they are living. For instance, a Vietnamese, if working in Thailand, can enjoy the new year festival of Thai. Also, they can have a chance to improve their skills, they can enter to some courses related to their background.
In contrast, with the increasing popularity of students working overseas, their country would have the lack of workers, entailing the issue as the government has to import foreigners with a high cost. However, there is a slim chance that all students can go to other countries to work and excessive worry about the amount of students working abroad seems not too necessary. Furthermore, students may find it is very difficult to famaliarize with a new culture, a new language, this could cause major problems for them that they can not communicate with their colleagues. Despite this, good students can ensure that such a problem is just a rarity.
In conclusion, while working abroad is a promising opportunity that can bring several benefits to students, the government has to solve the lack of worker’s problem. Nevertheless, if students go and comeback to contribute their experience to their country, I feel that overall the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages.
